Customers who turned out for the grand re-opening told the Journal-News said they were happy to once again dine at the beloved eatery and lauded its revamped look, which included new flooring, tables, booths and a fresh coat of paint.

The restaurant, which debuted in 1950, redecorated with images of Hamilton’s landmarks, as well as previous owners and employees.

A majority of the restaurant’s employees had returned.
