Burger King at 5165 Pleasant Ave. near Nilles Road in Fairfield is undergoing what’s been described as a major interior and exterior renovation.

“The renovation will update the restaurant’s existing tired facade with a new, modern look,” said Greg Kathman, Fairfield’s development services director.

The city’s Design Review Committee approved the exterior renovations and landscape plans at its October meeting and construction started in late November.

The restaurant was built in 1984, according to Butler County Auditor’s Office records. It will remain open during renovation efforts.
