Deerfield Twp. restaurant celebrates grand opening Jan. 6

A grand opening is set for Jan. 6 for Louie’s Taphouse & Grill, a 285-seat full-service restaurant and bar at 8267 Arbor Square Drive in Deerfield Twp.

A ribbon-cutting is scheduled for noon Jan. 6 at the 7,660-square-foot restaurant. The grand opening celebration will run from 5 to 10 p.m. and will include samples from the food menu and from the craft beer offerings, according to Howard Mason, co-owner of the new sports bar.

Mason said Louie’s Taphouse & Grill opened “softly” about six weeks ago in the space that formerly housed Willie’s Sports Bar & Grill off Mason-Montgomery Road near Kroger.

Louie’s has 60 beers on tap, “and we’ll soon have 100,” Mason said. He described the menu as “American Casual,” and it includes items such as Creole Grouper, Pasta Alfredo, Gator Bites, burgers, flatbread pizzas and fish and chicken “street tacos.”

Mason said the new restaurant’s owners are working to open a second location in Dayton and want to expand the concept to Columbus and Cincinnati as well.

Louie's Taphouse & Grill's hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays. For more information, check out the Louie's Taphouse & Grill Facebook page, its website at www.louiestaphouse.com or call 513-770-0888.
