She was placed under arrest and issued a citation for theft and released on her own recognizance, according to a police report. After being released, however, she told the officer her bike had been stolen from the bike rack in front of the store.
It was described as a red Next bicycle with a lock on the handlebars, although it was not in use.
The loss prevention officer was able to provide video of the theft of the bike being taken at approximately 5:13 p.m. by two individuals, both high school aged boys. The investigation is continuing.
