Someone tried to use funny money to make a purchase at a Hamilton restaurant.
The suspect entered the Rally’s on Erie Avenue on June 12 and attempted to pass a counterfeit $1 bill for food, according to a police report.
Then on June 7, a Hamilton man reported a woman he invited into his home gave him fake money.
The man told police that prior to the woman leaving his 13th Avenue home, she asked for change of a $100 bill.
He gave her the money then discovered the $100 bill was counterfeit after she left, according to the police report.
There have been no arrests in either case, according to Hamilton police.
