Thieves damage fence, shed to get to scrap metal

June 27

Someone cut the fence around Certified Garage, 370 South “B” St. and stole assorted scrap metal and small tools valued at $100. Estimated damage to the fence and shed is $300.

Theft of a trailer from a lot in the 1900 block of Fairgrove Avenue between 4:45 and 5 p.m. Estimated value is $1,800.

Theft of a computer, computer monitor, keyboard and mouse, along with three shotguns and two pairs of jeans from a home in the 1300 block of East Avenue. Estimated value was not provided.

Someone cut all four tires of a vehicle in the 700 block of Williams Avenue. Estimated value is $300.

June 28

Theft of two propane tanks from Hamilton Tool Rental, 350 South “B” Street. Total estimated value is $114.

Theft of two lawn ornaments — a boy on a bench and a girl on a bench — from the yard of a home in the 1400 block of Lawrence Avenue. Estimated value is $250.

Theft of a vehicle from the 1600 block of Eden Park Drive. Estimated value is $6,000.

Someone stole and damage a house marker sign to a home in the 300 block of Heathwood Lane, stealing two numbers but leaving the third and damaging the sign while taking the numbers from it. The victim told police that it appeared the suspect tried to steal the market, but could not get it out of the ground.

Someone broke into a vehicle in the 0-100 block of Lora Lane and stole $30.

Somone threw several rocks at a home in the 0-100 block of Gregory Lane, breaking three windows.

June 29

Someone used a brick to try and break out the front passenger side window of a vehicle in the 1700 block of Shuler. When the window failed to break, the suspect used a coat hanger to unlock the door and steal two pressure washers, hoses for each washer and a pressure washer gun. Total estimated value of the items is $14,800.
