Middletown woman says friend shot her in the hand

A Middletown woman told police a friend shot her in the hand during an argument Sunday morning in the 4600 block of Freedom Court.

The woman said while she was sitting in her car, her friend, whom she only knew by his initials, pulled out a handgun and shot her in the right hand.

She then drove to a local retail department store and called police, according to the report.

When police went to Freedom Court, they noticed beer spilled in the parking lot and they found shell casings and broken glass they believe came from the victim’s car.

Police are searching for the suspect.
