Middletown police seek driver of stolen car who caused 4-vehicle crash

Middletown police are searching for a man who stole a vehicle, then caused a four-car crash around 12:40 p.m. Saturday near the Towne Mall.

The vehicle was confirmed stolen through the Middletown Division of Police while it was eastbound on Ohio 122 traveling at a high rate of speed, according to the traffic crash report.

The driver of the vehicle ran the red light at Ohio 122 and Towne Boulevard and crashed into another vehicle that was traveling north on Towne Boulevard, the report stated.

The stolen vehicle then crashed into another vehicle and pushed it into a fourth car.

Two drivers were taken to Atrium Medical Center with minor injuries, according to the report.

The suspect took off running and was not found, according to police.
