A woman in Hamilton was the victim of an IRS scam, according to police reports.
The resident said she received a call from a person saying they were from the Internal Revenue Service stating that if she did not pay her taxes, she would be arrested on a warrant, according to the police report.

The caller told the woman to purchase Google Play gift cards to pay for the taxes she allegedly owed, according to a police report.
The woman said she purchased $1,900 in gift cards and read the numbers to the caller.
