A drug investigation in Middletown led to the arrest of a Hamilton County man who fled from court there last week.

On Monday, the Middletown police special investigations unit conducted a drug trafficking operation at several hotels in Middletown, according to information on the department’s Facebook page.

The team observed suspicious activity consistent with drug trafficking/activity in the parking lot of the Riverfront Motel on Tytus Avenue, police said.

A stop of one of the vehicles revealed that the back seat passenger was not being truthful about his identity, according to police.

The man was identified as Josh Kash who was wanted for escaping the Hamilton County Court. Kash is facing charges of robbery and kidnapping and will face additional charges regarding the escape, police said.
