Franklin police, state patrol search apartments, vehicles for drugs

Members of the Warren County Task Force, State Highway Patrol and Franklin police department searched two Franklin apartments and several vehicles Friday afternoon after a man charged with drug offenses was seen acting “suspicious” in the area.

Franklin Police Sgt. Troy Wolf said a patrol officer drove by the apartment complex on South River Street Friday morning and noticed a man the police had “prior drug contact” with behaving suspicious. The Drug Task Force returned in the afternoon with a search warrant for two apartments in the same complex — the suspect’s and his son’s — and their vehicles, Wolf said.
