Franklin police ID man found dead near bike path

Franklin police have identified a Franklin man who was found dead Monday morning near a bike path.

Tommy Lee Watts Jr., 51, was identified today as the man Franklin police found in the 400 block of South River Street, according to Chief Russ Whitman.

He said the cause of death appears to be self-inflicted pending confirmation from the Warren County Coroner’s Office.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family,” Whitman wrote in a press release.
