3 caught after allegedly stealing guns from Middletown sporting goods store

Three Middletown residents were captured and charged for their alleged involvement in the robbery of multiple firearms Sunday morning from a Madison Twp. sporting goods store.

John Johnson, 32, and Simuel Albin Jr., 25, were charged with theft, theft of firearm and breaking and entering, according to Middletown police. Natasha Harrison, 25, was charged with complicity to theft, complicity to breaking and entering and for four warrants, police said.

They allegedly broke into Roberson’s Sporting Goods, 6348 Germantown Rd., around 10:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s office.

Several weapons were recovered, the BCSO said.

All three appeared before visiting Middletown Municipal Court Judge Tom Hanna on Monday morning, and their next hearing is Feb. 5. They all remain in the Middletown City Jail.

Johnson and Harrison were booked into the jail Sunday afternoon, about four hours after the alleged theft. Albin Jr. was captured later and booked around 11 p.m., police said.
