Butler County OVI checkpoint results released from weekend event

The Butler County OVI Task Force’s latest OVI checkpoint resulted in one citation being issued last Friday.

The task force of various county law enforcement agencies checked 754 motorists during the checkpoint in the northbound lanes of Ohio 4 (6262 Hamilton-Middletown Road) in front of the Monroe Fire Station.

Three motorists were diverted for further investigation that resulted in the issuance of one citation for having an open container in a motor vehicle.

The checkpoint also included saturation patrols of the area by police.

The next OVI checkpoint will be on Friday. The task force said it will release the time and location on the day of the checkpoint.

The Butler County OVI Task Force is funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation/National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
