The remains of a possible human hand was found recently on a sandbar next to the Muskingum River.

A person hunting for arrowheads in the Eagleport area on Ohio 559 in Morgan County made the discovery, according to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.

The Adult Parole Authority and Morgan County Probation Department helped with the search, where many items were collected including the skeletal hand remains, our media partner 10tv.com WBNS in Columbus reported.

The remains were sent to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation for DNA testing and a search for a possible match to a missing person, 10tv.com reported.
