A man was taken into custody Wednesday night after a SWAT team served a warrant at a Hamilton residence.

The SWAT team surrounded the residence in the 300 block of Wayne Avenue shortly after 5 p.m., according to Hamilton Sgt. Brian Robinson.

“They were assisting detectives in serving a search warrant for evidence in a felony case,” Robinson said.

He declined to say what case or what evidence was being sought.

A man ran outside and was hiding when the officers arrived and was arrested for obstructing justice.
