Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak to speak at Miami University

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will speak this month at Miami University’s Millett Hall.

Wozniak is a computer scientist best known for creating the Apple I and Apple II computers, the company’s first two models of the personal computer. His work with Steve Jobs allowed the company to become influential in the microcomputing industry.

Wozniak is scheduled to take the stage at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, for the 2017 Anderson Distinguished Lecture Series presented by Miami University’s Farmer School of Business.

The lecture is free and open to the public.

Wozniak is launching Woz U, an online technology education platform. Wozniak has said he hopes to offer courses on software engineering, information technology and cybersecurity, among others.
