Voters overwhelming supported Ann Becker as their new West Chester Twp. trustee.

The field of eight candidates to replace now State Rep. George Lang was narrowed to one Tuesday as 33 percent gave Becker their backing.

Becker said she is honored to represent her new constituents.

“It was a hard race for the eight of us and a really short election,” she said. “But I’m very honored to be the next West Chester trustee.”

The next closest vote-getter was Lynda O’Connor with 21 percent of the votes, according to unofficial results from the Butler County Board of Elections.
