Amazon has more plans for Ohio: Details coming today

Amazon is expected to make an announcement today about business plans it has for the Columbus region.

This news organization has reached out to Amazon for more information aboutthe announcement.

The company said the announcement it is not about the highly-anticipated announcement of the Seattle-based online retailer’s second headquarters location.

Columbus is in the running for HQ2, which could bring 50,000 jobs to Ohio and a $5 billion investment. The announcement isn’t expected until later this year.

Amazon has significant investment in Ohio providing more than 6,000 jobs. The retailer built a wind farm in the northwest and several distribution centers. In September 2017, Amazon announced that it would build a fulfillment centers in Monroe, in addition to the centers in Etna and Obetz. The company also announced a fourth fulfillment center in North Randall.
