Aldi wine, cheese Advent calendars hit shelves today

If you want one of Aldi’s new wine Advent calendars, you may want to hit the store today.

The discount grocer's wine and cheese calendars hit shelves today, priced at $69.99 and $12.99 respectively. If they're as popular as they were in the United Kingdom last Christmas season, they'll fly off the shelves.

The 21-pound calendar contains 24 bottles of wine at 187 ml each, equivalent to nearly six bottles of wine. The cheese calendar also includes 24 mini imported cheeses for a total 16.9 ounces.

Advent, beginning Dec. 2, is a countdown to Christmas and preparation time for the holiday.

The calendars are only available as supplies last. There are Aldi stores in Beavercreek, Kettering, Huber Heights, West Carrolton, Englewood, Centerville, Xenia and Middletown.
