"This past Saturday night something happened to me and my family that I would never want to happen to any of you guys out there," Johnson said. "But, of course, emergencies do happen.
"We were up all night in the emergency room. We had something scary that happened with our little baby girl, Jasmine," he added. "She's OK now — thank God. But, I just want to say thank you so much to everybody who was involved, so caring and compassionate and responsive."
Johnson gave a special shout-out to an "extremely calm" 911 operator and emphasized the importance of remaining level-headed to parents.
"To all you mommies and daddies out there, when emergencies like this happen, I would just highly recommend that you stay as calm and as focused as possible," he advised, "because our little babies, energetically, they pick up on what we're putting out, especially in times of stress."
Johnson shares photos and videos of Jasmine to Instagram on occasion. The tot helped him out with an adorable Instagram in December, when Johnson announced he and girlfriend, Lauren Hashian, were expecting another girl.
His oldest daughter, 16-year-old Simone Johnson (from his marriage to produce Dany Garcia), served as this year's Golden Globes ambassador.
