The Fairfield Aquatic Center’s Kids Night Out on Saturday will give children their own night of swimming, fun and friends. This will also present their parents with an opportunity to get out of the house, or to go out on the town.
Brad Williams, operations coordinator, City of Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department, said the evening will be packed with swimming, music from a DJ, games and other entertaining water activities. The night will be topped off with ice-cream sundaes, which will be provided for everyone in attendance.
“It’s a great opportunity for kids to come out, recreate and utilize one of our City treasures, the Fairfield Aquatic Center. It also gives parents an opportunity to have their own night out as well, in knowing that their kids are in a safe environment, utilizing this facility we have with qualified staff that are capable of running a very good program,” Williams said.
Created for youth ages 8 to 17, the mixed age range will allow siblings from the same family to attend the event together. More than 100 children are expected for the special night.
