West Chester firm lands $22M Army contract

A West Chester company has landed a $21.7 million U.S. Army contract for support of live-fire testing.

Quasonix LLC, of West Chester Twp. in Butler County, was awarded the contract for telemetry transmitters in support of live fire testing, according to a new Department of Defense announcement.

Work locations and funding will be determined with each work order, with an estimated completion date of Oct. 28, 2024.

U.S. Army Contracting Command, in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Also in Ohio, Superior Forge & Steel Corp. in Lima will share a $90 million Air Force contract with a Pennsylvania company.

The contract is for the procurement of GBU-57 massive ordnance penetrators BLU-J 27C/B penetrator warhead case assemblies with associated components.

Work will be performed at Lima and Irvine, Pa., and is expected to be complete by Oct. 28, 2027.
