TriHealth, The Urology Group formalize partnership

TriHealth and The Urology Group announced Thursday a formalized agreement to provide urological services to patients throughout the TriHealth system.

Along with comprehensive urology services, The Urology Group will provide medical-administrative leadership services, collaborate with TriHealth’s specialty Institutes for patient care programs, and work closely with TriHealth to improve the quality and coordination of urology services.

“We at TriHealth are grateful for our long-standing relationship with The Urology Group and for the opportunity to create yet another important partnership with a large group of independent physicians, this time to advance the quality and efficiency in urology patient care,” said Dr. John Robinson, senior vice president of hospital operations for TriHealth, in a written statement. “Our patients, surgeons and facilities will receive outstanding urology leadership and care.”

The Urology Group is an independent medical group with 39 physicians and a total staff of almost 300.

The new agreement for comprehensive services took effect Aug. 1 and covers Bethesda Butler Hospital in Hamilton, McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Bethesda North Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, TriHealth Evendale Hospital and TriHealth Surgery Center West.

“As one of the largest independent urology groups in the country, we bring a 20-year legacy of deep specialization in treating both men and women with conditions ranging from genitourinary cancer, kidney stones, urinary incontinence, sexual dysfunction, and many others,” said Dr. Gary Kirsh, president of The Urology Group, in a written statement.
