Veggie Noodle Co. of Texas is voluntarily recalling 62 cases of Butternut Spirals because it could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in some people. 3. Sargento, Meijer recall several cheese products
Sargento Foods Inc. issued a recall in February of several of its products due to a potential contamination of Listeria monocytogenes, and several cheese products sold at Meijer grocery stores were also impacted. Indiana-based Deutsch Kase Haus notified Sargento that a specialty Longhorn Colby cheese they supplied to the company had been recalled due to the possible contamination.
4. PetSmart recalls dog food contaminated with metal
PetSmart has issued a voluntary recall of one of its adult dog food products after metal was found in some cans. "Grreat Choice" Adult Dog Food was sold on PetSmart.com, Pet360.com, PetFoodDirect.com and in stores nationwide. The product, sold in 13.2 ounce cans between Oct. 10, 2016 and Feb. 7, could be contaminated with metal. READ MORE HERE
5. Pies recalled at Kroger stores in Ohio
Denver-based Legendary Baking is recalling its 34-ounce packages of Private Selection Salted Caramel Almond Pie, and the products were sold in Ohio stores. The almonds and eggs were listed under "may contains" instead of "contains," according to a recall alert. READ HERE

An Ohio company is recalling nearly 3,00 pounds of pepperoni product that may be contaminated. P&S Bakery Inc., based in Poland, Ohio, is recalling the pepperoni product that may be contaminated with "extraneous materials," specifically clear meat casing utilized in food production. READ MORE

8. Kroger recalls nuts because of possible health risk
The Kroger Co. is recalling its Simple Truth Dry Roasted Macadamia Nuts due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.A supplier reported the product may have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems, according to Cincinnati-based Kroger.
9. Aunt Jemima frozen food products recalled for possible contamination
A recall has been issued for several Aunt Jemima frozen food products. Pinnacle Foods Inc. is recalling all "Best By" dates of Aunt Jemima Frozen pancakes, Frozen Waffles and Frozen French Toast Slices. The products were distributed nationally due to a possible Listeria monocytogenes. No illnesses have been reported. READ MORE
10. Lay’s chips recalled for potential Salmonella contamination
Frito-Lay has voluntarily recalled two of its brand of snacks, including its Jalapeño-flavored potato chips. The Jalapeno Flavored Lay's Kettle Cooked potato chips and Jalapeño Flavored Miss Vickie's Kettle Cooked potato have been recalled due to a potential presence of Salmonella in the seasoning.
