RECALL: Product recalled at Whole Foods in Ohio

A noodle product sold at Whole Foods in Ohio and several other states has been recalled due to a possible Listeria contamination.

Veggie Noodle Co. of Texas is voluntarily recalling 62 cases of Butternut Spirals because it could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in some people. The product was recalled in Whole Foods Markets and other retailers in Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska and Wisconsin.

The recalled product is packaged in a 10.7 ounce plastic container, and has an “Enjoy By” date of Feb. 23. Products with other “Enjoy By” dates are not impacted.

The product was sold in refrigerated sections of the grocery store. No illnesses have been reported so far. Consumers can call the company at 512-200-3337 x500.
