Popcorn business opens second location in Warren County

There seems to be a "national day" for just about every occasion, and today is no exception.

April 6 has been deemed National Caramel Popcorn Day, and one local business owner has not only the holiday to celebrate, but also the opening of a new location.

Anna Donovan, owner of Anna's Gourmet Popcorn, just opened her second brick and mortar location less than one month ago in the heart of downtown Lebanon. Her first locationis in Maineville.

Donovan contributes her success to not just the delicious popcorn she makes, but the community’s outpouring of support over the past year.

“Everyone has been so welcoming and helpful and I feel like everyone here wants me to succeed,” Donovan said.

You can expect to find some of the classic flavors of popcorn at both shops, but also be prepared to find Donovan’s own unique creations, such as “Dill” and “Birthday Cake” flavored popcorn.

With her degree in food science from Purdue, Donovan says she’s thankful she gets to be creative and use her degree to develop one-of-a-kind flavors, and loves even more when her customers make requests for custom flavors.

With so much to celebrate, Donovan is offering customers at both locations 15 percent off their Caramel Corn purchase over $10 today only in honor of National Caramel Popcorn Day.

The celebration will continue though when Anna’s Gourmet Popcorn in Lebanon has its official grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting. from 4 to 6 p.m. May 5 at 2 S. Broadway in Lebanon.

“I hope the entire community will attend this event and share this special day with us,” Donovan said.
