It also introduced the mega-retailer’s Pickup Tower, which allows customers to pick up previously ordered purchases, according to the company.
When those items arrive at the store, Walmart employees load them into a 16-foot-tall vending machine. Customers can retrieve their purchases by scanning a bar code sent to their phones.
“Like never before technology is enabling customers to order anything they want, no matter where they are and to get it whenever they want it,” said Greg Day, manager of the Hamilton Walmart. “Walmart recognizes how important time and value are to our customers and we are proud to offer innovations like Online Grocery Pickup and the Pickup Tower to meet their needs whether they are shopping in person or ordering thru the Walmart app.”

Walmart locations in Middletown and Fairfield Twp. received Pickup Towers last year and were the first two Ohio Walmart stores to get the technology. A Franklin location got the a Pickup Tower in June.
