The city is selling the land for $9,000 so that the company can move forward with a $765,000 expansion of their U-Haul business operations, which will include the construction of three multi-unit storage buildings.
According to the development agreement, construction on the project will begin when the company applies for a building permit with an expected completion date of Dec. 31, 2019.
Council is expected to approve the ordinance as an emergency measure at its Sept. 4 meeting.
