Meijer operates 10 stores in the Dayton, Springfield and northern Cincinnati areas. The retail chain operates 199 “supercenters” and grocery stores throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky. The company has nearly 60,000 employees in those states.
Meijer added two stores in 2012 in Michigan and in the Chicago area, and plans to add six stores in 2013, although none of the new stores are in Ohio, officials said.
