A retail store featuring the most complete collection of one of the top kitchenware brands soon will shut its doors permanently.

The KitchenAid Experience, at 423 S. Broadway St. in Greenville, will close in late July, owner Whirlpool Corp. announced Wednesday afternoon.

The manufacturing plant and distribution center in Greenville are not affected by the retail store’s closure.

“Whirlpool Corporation is proud that the retail store has been embraced by the community, consumers, travelers and chefs from across the country for two decades,” the firm stated in a news release.

We are working to find out what led to the closure of the store, also known for its vintage marketing materials and live demonstrations.
