KeyCorp names new Cincinnati market president

KeyCorp announced March 23 that John Marrocco has been named Cincinnati Market president and commercial sales leader. In this role, Marrocco will focus on leading the local team to deliver innovative client solutions and strengthening Key’s community investment, according to the company.

“As a 22-year veteran of the financial services industry, John has extensive knowledge of the market and understands Key’s commitment to building client relationships, growing our business and demonstrating our dedication to the communities here,” said Leo Watson Jr., Great Lakes regional sales leader for Cleveland-based KeyBank, in a written statement.

Marrocco most recently held the position of senior vice president and commercial sales executive at Cincinnati-based Fifth Third Bank, where he was responsible for commercial relationships with businesses greater than $10 million. In this role, he led a team of professional managers, relationship managers, specialized lending professionals, treasury management professionals, and service/support staff and lead coordination of capital markets.

Active in the community, Marrocco has served in an advisory capacity or on the board of the United Way of Greater Cincinnati, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and The Children’s Hospital and Catholic Intercity Schools. He currently holds a board position with the Taft Museum of Art and Boys & Girls Club and is a member of Leadership Cincinnati Class ’35 and the Queen City Club.

Marrocco graduated from St. Xavier High School, earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Latin American Studies from Denison University and earned an MBA from Xavier University.
