Kettering Medical Center leads region with job postings

Kettering Medical Center led the Western Ohio region with the most online job postings, according to a new ranking Friday from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

The ranking tracked ads posted from Nov. 14, 2017 to Dec. 13, 2017.

The medical center had 954 online job ads, the department said. In second place was defense and intelligence contractor Booz Allen Hamilton, with 216 ads, followed by Crown Equipment Corp., with 185 ads.

Lowe’s was fourth on the list of top employers with 139 ads, while the Air Force Personnel Center had 127 ads and Air Force Material Command had 109 ads.

For purposes of tracking the ads, the state’s Western region includes Montgomery, Clark and Greene counties, with Auglaize, Champaign, Clinton, Darke, Fayette, Mercer, Miami, Preble and Shelby counties.

A total of 15,923 job openings were posted online for the month in that region.

In what the state calls the Southwestern region, which includes Butler and Warren counties, the top employer for online job ads was the University of Cincinnati, with 1,405 ads, followed by UC Health (1,147 ads), West Chester Hospital (849 ads), Greater Cincinnati schools (607 ads) and Accenture (449 ads).

For the month, a total of 29,943 job openings were posted online in the Southwest region.
