Get a Domino’s pizza for $2.50 today

In celebration of Throwback Thursday, the Lebanon Domino’s Pizza at 915 N. Broadway St. is lowering prices today, March 27. For one day, the locally-owned franchise restaurant will sell pizzas at 1977 prices.

Franchise owner Tom Satchell started working at Domino’s in 1977 as a manager-in-training. He bought the Lebanon restaurant in 1981.

“I think this is our fourth year of doing it to celebrate my anniversary with Domino’s,” Satchell said.

“We hope to sell 1,000 pizzas in one day. That’s more pizza than we normally sell in an entire week,” Satchell said.

Here’s a sample of the 1977 menu prices: a one-topping medium 12-inch hand tossed pizza for $2.50, with additional toppings for 50 cents each; and a one-topping extra-large 16-inch hand tossed pizza for $3.75, with additional toppings for 75 cents each. Customers can upgrade to a one-topping medium handmade pan pizza for $2 more.

The special ends at 9 p.m. today.

Regular restaurant hours are 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sundays to Thursdays.

Orders must be placed in person or by phone; the special prices are not available for online orders, Satchell said. For more information and to order, call Lebanon Domino’s at 513-932-1431.

“It just turns into a fun, exciting day,” Satchell said, who employs 17 full- and part-time workers at the local business.
