Fagin, a Cincinnati native who grew up in the Wyoming area, was most recently chief operating officer of The Jewish Federation of Cincinnati. During his tenure at the Federation, Fagin developed a new strategic planning process, began the Shared Business Service Center, rebuilt the finance department and designed and launched SAFE Cincinnati, a Jewish community security and disaster planning initiative. Under his leadership, the federation was selected as a finalist in the 2014 “Best Places to Work” contest, had no voluntary staff turnover in 24 months and began implementation of the Talent Management program, according to information provided by Cedar Village.
Prior to that, Fagin was managing director, health care and life science industry leader, for Protiviti Inc., a global business consulting firm he founded in 2002. In this position he worked with hospital systems, insurance and pharmaceutical companies to assist them with process improvement, regulatory compliance, corporate governance and risk management. He also assisted clients with the implementation of electronic health record technology.
Fagin is a graduate of Indiana University Kelley School of Business and Thomas More College.
“I want to see Cedar Village at the ‘community table’,” Fagin said in a written statement. “Working at the Federation, I learned a lot about the broad vision of Cincinnati 2020, and I believe none of that can be achieved without Cedar Village being an active participant.”
