Butler Tech’s Commercial Driving program offers training for Ohio Class A and Class B licenses. The comprehensive program includes classroom instruction, interactive driving simulators and behind-the-wheel experience. Students have access to Butler Tech’s current-model equipment and a five-acre asphalt driving range. New classes start every two weeks.
To qualify for a commercial driver’s license in Ohio, students must:
- Be at least 21 years of age at the start of the program for a Class A license, 18 years old for a Class B license.
- Pass a Department of Transportation physical exam and drug screen.
- Obtain a CDL permit and pass required testing.
- Have a valid Ohio driver's license and good driving record.
Carriers and companies scheduled to participate in the Job Fair include BST, Cincinnati State, Cohen, ComCar Industries, Crete, Dart, Falcon, Home Run, I-Supply, Kaiser Pickles, Louiso Trucking, Maverick, Mays Trucking, NTB, PI&I Motor Express, Presto Foods, U.S. Foodservice and Werner.
