Wright State standout slugs 3 HRs in Cape Cod League

Wright State outfielder Peyton Burdick had a night to remember Tuesday in the Cape Cod League.

He slammed not one nor two but three home runs for the Cotuit Kettleers, who won their season opener 10-1 over Brewster.

Burdick, a Glen Este High graduate, started all 56 games for the Raiders this season, hitting .347 with nine homers and 65 RBIs.

He also stole 15 bases en route to a spot on the All-Horizon League first team before being named MVP of the Horizon League tournament.
