Bengals tackle Andrew Whitworth still in concussion protocol

Cincinnati Bengals tackle Andrew Whitworth is still in concussion protocol with the team set to fly to London on Thursday for Sunday’s game against Washington.

Whitworth, who routinely takes Wednesdays off, was one of four Bengals players who were not practicing today, along with defensive tackle Domata Peko, linebacker Karlos Dansby and left guard Clint Boling.

Like Whitworth, Peko and Dansby have taken regular vet days off on Wednesdays. Boling has been dealing with a shoulder injury he suffered in the Miami game but has not missed a snap in the three games since.

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said Monday he expects Whitworth to be ready to be out of protocol by the time the team flies to London Thursday evening.
