Week 2 Roundup: Talawanda, Franklin, New Miami, Ross move to 2-0

Quarterback Adam Crank’s 7-yard touchdown scramble in the fourth quarter put the game out of reach for Talawanda in a 24-17 win.

Deondre Bothast-Revalee and Terrell Wills each added a rushing score.

Zach Switzer paced Badin with 177 yards and two touchdowns through the air.

The Brave (2-0) travel to Eaton next Friday. Badin (0-2) hosts Edgewood.

Fenwick 67, Norwood 13: David Schuh threw two touchdowns, Jacob Berning and John Stevenson each had a defensive score and Noah Lock and Josh Brown both ran back kickoff returns for TDs in the rout for Fenwick.

The Falcons (1-1) travel to Clinton-Massie next Friday.

Lakota West 30, Centerville 15: The Firebirds built a 23-0 halftime lead, then clinched the win — Tom Bolden's first at Lakota West — the first for on David Afari's 50-yard TD run with under a minute to play.

Caleb Rao led Lakota West (1-1) with 127 yards on the ground.

Chase Harrison tossed two TD passes to Will Linkhart for the Elks (0-2).

West opens Greater Miami Conference play next Friday at Hamilton.

Lakota East 14, Fairmont 6: Trey Baker struck first with a 2-yard run for Fairmont, but Lakota East rallied with a pair of short TD runs from T.J. Kathman.

Tank Gant racked up 110 yards on the ground for Fairmont (0-2).

East (1-1) opens GMC play at Mason next Friday.

Franklin 20, Edgewood 10: Two fourth-quarter scores — Bryan Thacker's 35-yard field goal and Aiden Kinser's 28-yard interception return — allowed the host Wildcats to pull away from the Cougars.

Franklin (2-0) hosts Xenia next Friday. Edgewood travels to Badin.

Ross 42, Monroe 3: The Rams built a 28-3 halftime lead and rolled from there to move to 2-0 on a night they unveiled a new-look Robinson Field. It was the Rams first game on its new artificial turf field

The Hornets fell to 0-2.

Ross travels to Western Brown on Thursday night.

New Miami 35, Landmark Christian 0: The Vikings moved to 2-0 with their second straight home win.

New Miami, which has outscored its first two opponents 67-6, hits the road for the first time next week at Fayetteville-Perry.

Madison 49, Reading 7: The Mohawks bounced back from a Week 1 defeat to pound the Blue Devils.

Madison (1-1) hosts Valley View next Friday.

Kenton Ridge 34, Carlisle 7: The host Cougars rallied from a 7-6 deficit with 28 unanswered points.

Talon Borders rushed for 103 yards and Brice Naylor added 94 on the ground for the Indians (0-2).

Carlisle hosts Oakwood next Friday.

Lebanon 50, Loveland 20: Keith Farr finished with 155 yards on the ground and five touchdowns to lead the Lebanon attack.

Ethan Marsh tacked on a rushing score, Eric West forced and recovered a fumble and Mason DeGennaro tallied 13 tackles.

Lebanon (1-1) hosts West Clermont next Friday.
