Having a sense of humor helps, so Tuesday he threw some serious shade at defensive linemen during an interview on The Dan Patrick Show.
"I used to love defense because from an offensive lineman's perspective, the game is very stressful. You only get noticed when you do something bad, but on defense it's great. There's no stress. No anxiety. You can just run around and play 65 plays and 64 of them totally disappear but if you get the sack on the last play of the game, they're lifting you up on their shoulders and carrying you off the field."
Take that, glamour boys!
You may have your unbelievable athleticism, actual statistics to measure your performances, and the adulation of millions, but we still have the piece of mind that can only be earned by rarely if ever getting the appreciation we deserve.
That’s better than nothing, I guess.
