Cincinnati Bengals starting cornerback Adam Jones and backup safety Derron Smith returned to practice Wednesday as the team prepares to face NFL leading receiver Antonio Brown and the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

Jones left the Oct. 8 game against Buffalo with a back injury twice in the first half and did not return after coming out of the the second time. He did not practice Monday.

Smith has missed the last three games with an ankle injury he suffered in practice Sept. 20.

Both Jones and Smith were listed as limited on the practice report.

The Bengals will need all the help they can get in defending Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, who leads the league in catches (48) and receiving yards (700). Cincinnati wide receiver A.J. Green is second in receiving years, nearly 200 behind Brown with 504.

In addition to Jones and Smith, safety Clayton Fejedelem (hamstring) and wide receiver John Ross (knee) were listed as limited. It’s the second consecutive practice Ross has been limited after not playing since Week 2.

He said Monday he is hopeful of playing in Pittsburgh , but until he's a full participant in practice it seems unlikely the Bengals would play him in a game.

The Bengals will release their practice report detailing which players were full participants and which were limited later this afternoon.
