Siri waits until bitter end to set record; 36-game hitting streak is longest in Midwest League history

Jose Siri waited until the last Monday night to set a record, and the Dayton Dragons outfielder faced an 0-2 count in the eighth inning at Ft. Wayne, but he made history with a single to extend his hitting streak to 36 games.

Here's a look at the lash that set the Midwest League mark for consecutive games with a hit.

Entering Monday's game, Siri hit .350 with 13 home runs and 29 RBI, 10 doubles, three triples, and a .701 slugging percentage during the streak.
