HS Scores 2/27: Siler’s 28 leads Tri-Village in sectional final

Top seed Tri-Village survived an overtime scare from Bradford, winning 55-49 in a girls basketball sectional final on Wednesday.

Lissa Siler poured in 28 points for Tri-Village, which shot 6-for-6 from the foul line in overtime to put the win away.

Rylee Canan, who hit a three-point basket with four seconds to play to send the game into OT, led Bradford with 16 points.

Tri-Village advances to a district final versus Cin. Country Day on Saturday at Troy, 3 p.m.

Division IV

Fort Loramie 63, Mechanicsburg 28: Dana Rose scored 15 points and Fort Loramie jumped ahead early, opening the game on a 14-4 run. Grace Forrest put up 10 points for ‘Burg. Fort Loramie moves on to a district title matchup against Cedarville on Saturday at Troy, 11 a.m.

Franklin Monroe 42, Covington 34: Chloe McGlinch paced Franklin Monroe with 19 points and Corina Conley chipped in 11. Samantha Whiteman finished with 11 points for Covington. Franklin Monroe will face Legacy Christian in a district title game on Saturday at Troy, 1 p.m.

Legacy Christian 41, Russia 38: Kathleen Ahner drained a three-point basket in the closing seconds to lead Legacy to a win. Ahner finished with 19 points. Ashley Scott paced Russia with 12 points.

Boys Basketball

Division III

Waynesville 49, Troy Christian 44: Ryan Papanek and Luke Kindred finished with 11 points apiece and Waynesville charged ahead from a tie game in the final three minutes to advance to a sectional final.

Division IV

Emmanuel Christian 49, Miami Valley 29: Casey Swank scored 19 points, Fred Shropshire added 13 and Adonis Davis 10 for Emmanuel Christian, which limited Miami Valley to 12 points in the second half to move on to a sectional final.
