HS Roundup 9/19: Miami East girls golf team has record day

Two school records were set for the Miami East girls golf team in a 183-237 win versus Tri-Village on Wednesday.

Paige Lawson posted a 38 to lead the way, setting a new individual low for East. Kearsten Kirby added a 44, Maci Krites a 48 and Marissa Kearns a 53.

The 183 team score also marked a school record.

Boys Soccer

Bellefontaine 7, Indian Lake 0: Dominik Patton and Daunte George drove in two goals apiece and Nate Hecker added a goal and an assist for Bellefontaine.

Northwestern 1, Tecumseh 0: Evan Noffke knocked in the game-winner off an assist from Reilly Smith.

Girls Soccer

Bethel 2, Dayton Christian 0: Bethel scored both goals in the final 10 minutes of the game.

Tecumseh 1, Northwestern 1: Shannon Calmes netted Tecumseh’s lone goal to help salvage a tie.

Twin Valley South 2, Union County 2: Makiah Newport and Allison Bassler tallied a goal apiece for TVS.

Boys Golf

Dixie 189, Northridge 226: Gage Stultz shot a 45 and Clark Miller a 47 to pace Dixie. Justin Triplett had a 47 for Northridge.

Milton-Union 183, Piqua 208: Justin Brown finished with a 42 and Max Grafflin a 44 for MU. Kyle Karner paced Piqua with a 50.

Minster 163, New Bremen 208: Grant Voisard made medalist for Minster with a 38 and Joseph Magoto added a 41. Cole Hemmelgarn shot a 44 for New Bremen.

Talawanda 161, Badin 179: Trey Hubbard tallied a 39 and Charlie Faler a 40 to help Tecumseh improve to 12-1.

Girls Golf

Greenville 196, Beavercreek 196: Jada Garland posted a 42 for Greenville and Lexi Crawford carded a 43 for Butler.

Lebanon 172, Xenia 240: Maddie Owens paced Lebanon with a 38, including five pars and a birdie, and Kaylyn Brown added a 42. Bryanna Mardis shot a 45 for Xenia.

Girls Tennis

Miamisburg 5, Springfield 0: Mikenzie Hindenlang posted a 6-0, 6-0 victory in first singles, and Abby Campbell and and Mary-Kate Bussert each had a singles victory as well for ‘Burg.

Preble Shawnee 5, Trotwood 0: Allison Zornes, Alivia Reek and Michelle Bulach all had singles wins to pace Preble, with Bulach winning 6-0, 6-0.

Stivers 4, West Carrollton 1: The doubles duo of Taylor Macdonald and Jillian Wagner won their first match for West Carrollton.
