HS Roundup 10/9: Dayton Christian, Monroe boys earn conference titles

Boys Soccer

Carroll 4, Alter 0: Conner Osterholt pushed across a pair of goals and Sean Dosedel and Erick Vazquez added a score apiece to lead unbeaten Carroll.

Dayton Christian 2, Yellow Springs 0: The win secured a split of the Metro Buckeye Conference for Dayton Christian, marking the fifth consecutive and eighth year out of 10 that DC has won or shared the conference title.

Lehman Catholic 2, Temple Christian 1: Ethan Potts and Matt McDonald each had a goal to lead Lehman. Brody Bowman tallied the lone goal for TC.

Monroe 5, Eaton 0: Ben Griffis poured in three goals and Vincente Zapeda and Zach Hamdan added a goal apiece to help Monroe clinch a share of the Southwestern Buckeye League title.

Northmont 0, Miamisburg 0: Keeper Nick Newman notched his fifth shutout of the season for Northmont.

Oakwood 1, Brookville 0: Teddy Campbell drove in the lone goal for Oakwood.

Girls Soccer

Anna 3, Bethel 0: Taylor Noll, Taylor Kauffman and Mackinsie Littlefield each had a goal and keeper Savanna Hostetler recorded the save for Anna.

Coldwater 5, Ottoville 1: Janelle Halterman knocked in a pair of scores and Ava Giere, Alli May and Emmy Boley each added a goal apiece for Coldwater.

Twin Valley South 2, Franklin Monroe 1: Madi Hundley and Allison Bassler tallied a goal apiece and Abby Robertson and Pearle Rollyson had assists to lead TVS.

West Liberty-Salem 10, Madison Plains 0: Megan Dillon, Gabby Hollar and Emily Hollar each had a pair of goals and keeper Amanda Domachowski tallied three saves in the shutout for WLS.

Girls Tennis

Oakwood 3, Summit Country Day 2: Sarah Hall won in second singles and the Oakwood teams of Natalie Connelly/Sophie Russell and Sophie Schnell/Sidney Purks swept the doubles portion to help Oakwood earn a bid at the State Team Tournament finals.

Girls Volleyball

Bellbrook 3, Valley View 1: Mara Neal led Bellbrook with 15 kills and 12 digs, Kira Merkle added 16 kills and Sara Rogers 30 assists.

Covington 3, National Trail 2: Lexi Stiner recorded 14 kills with 20 digs and Brooke Johnson 36 assists but Trail fell victim to a Covington rally.

Fort Loramie 3, Botkins 0: Chloe Stang finished with nine kills, Maya Maurer 13 assists and Ava Sholtis seven digs for Fort Loramie.

Marion Local 3, Coldwater 2: Lauren Gilliland led Coldwater in the loss with 18 kills and 17 digs. Taylor Siefring added 12 kills and Katie Alig 14 digs.

New Knoxville 3, Parkway 0: Tasia Lauth led NK with 11 kills, Taylor Doty added 12 digs and Megan Jurosic and Avery Henschen seven kills apiece.

Urbana 3, Northwestern 2: Emily Skelley had 16 kills with 24 digs and Taylor Johnson 44 assists with 26 digs to help Urbana hold off a Northwestern rally.
