HS Roundup 1/14: Alter unleashes three-point barrage in win

Alter boys basketball bucketed 13 three-point baskets on the way to an 11th consecutive victory in a 63-48 win versus Carroll on Tuesday.

Jacob Conner, Jack Smith and Connor Stolly each drained three three-pointers and Rich Kolb and Brady Uhl added two apiece.

Uhl led Alter with 19 points. Stolly added 14 and Smith 11.

Jaden Dahm scored 12 points for Carroll and Logan Broaddus tacked on 10.

Alter improved to 11-1; Carroll dropped to 6-6.

Boys Basketball

Arcanum 60, Miami East 51: Carter Gray recorded 19 points and Jake Goubeaux 17 for Arcanum, which pulled away with an 18-10 run in the final quarter. Sam Zapadka led Miami East with 23 points.

Beavercreek 66, Wilmington 42: Yousef Saleh tallied 20 points and Adam Duvall 15 for ‘Creek, which ran away in the second half for the win.

Cedarville 73, Triad 61: Trent Koning and Colby Cross combined for 51 points to lead Cedarville. Dillon Nott tallied 17 points and Ayden Spriggs 14 for Triad.

Cin. Christian 60, New Miami 58: Logan Woods finished with 19 points, K.J. Swain 15 and Devin McKinnon 13 to lead Cin. Christian. Deanza Duncan had 17 points and Elijah Faulkner 12 rebounds for New Miami.

Emmanuel Christian 76, East Dayton Christian 23: Jason and Justus Channels each chipped in 20 points to help Emmanuel Christian extend its home winning streak to 16 games.

Hamilton 72, Lakota West 47: Trey Robinson’s 18 points and 10 rebounds paced Hamilton. Jackson Lewis added 16 and Kristian Walton and K’von Burnett 10 apiece.

Jefferson 80, Middletown Christian 56: De’shaun Ferguson poured in 25 points and Janson Kincer added 21 points with 14 rebounds for Jefferson. Alan Holtrey scored 17 points for Middletown Christian.

Lakota East 49, Sycamore 42: Alex Mangold scored 15 points and Kaden Fuhrmann 12 for Lakota East, which rallied in the second half to move to 11-2 overall.

Lebanon 57, Milford 56: Blake Lamb totaled 17 points with 13 rebounds and Nick Pierett added 12 points to help Lebanon hold off a Milford rally attempt.

Lehman Catholic 48, Covington 44: Brendon O’Leary recorded 24 points and Luke Frantz 14 for Lehman Catholic. Kleyton Maschino had 12 points for Covington.

Madison 65, Dixie 45: Grant Whisman poured in 32 points, Tristan Sipple added 12 and Matt Gomia 10 for Madison. Jordan Butt led Dixie with 14 points.

Mechanicsburg 52, Greenon 49: A pair of double-double performances paced Mechanicsburg. Kyle Smith posted 21 points with 10 rebounds and Logan Hurst added 13 points with 12 rebounds.

Miamisburg 67, Bellbrook 48: Anthony Coppock chipped in 17 points, Luke Copsey added 13 and Colin Murphy 11 for ‘Burg, which pulled away with a 25-13 run in the third quarter.

Milton-Union 59, Carlisle 50: Blake Brumbaugh scored 17 points, Andrew Lambert added 13 and Milton-Union rallied with a 23-11 run in the fourth quarter.

Mississinawa Valley 47, Ansonia 37: Blake Scholl carried Mississinawa Valley with a 25-point performance.

Oakwood 70, Valley View 43: Darren Rubin recorded 22 points and Oakwood cruised to victory after jumping out to a 28-point lead at the half.

Stebbins 59, Tippecanoe 56, 2OT: Nate Keller scored 17 points to help Stebbins close out the win. Ben Knostman paced Tippecanoe with 18 points.

Talawanda 69, Union County 32: Craig James poured in 30 points and Jonathan Richter added 15 to spur Talawanda.

Tecumseh 81, Ben Logan 78: Easton Lewis led four players in double-digit scoring for Tecumseh with 20 points. Brendan Toops added 18, Collin O’Connor 16 and Seth Hale 13.

Troy 55, Greenville 27: Shaeden Olden’s double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds carried Troy. Tyler Beyke put up 12 points for Greenville.

Twin Valley South 60, Dayton Christian 50: Cole Peterson exploded for 30 points to pace TVS. Isaiah Edwards finished with 16 points and nine rebounds for DC.

Wapakoneta 59, New Knoxville 43: Carson Bierlein put up 23 points in a losing effort for New Knoxville.

West Carrollton 88, Xenia 68: Zahir Martinez posted 20 points and Kalen McKinney 18 to pace West Carrollton. Dylan Hoosier had 26 points in the loss for Xenia.

West Liberty-Salem 63, Southeastern 35: Matthew Loffing spurred WLS with 19 points and Holden Nease tacked on 14.

Botkins 59, Upper Scioto Valley 19: Carmen Heuker paced Botkins with 20 points and Jill Greve added 15.

Coldwater 39, Crestview 38, OT: Annelise Harlamert posted 12 points and Lauren Gilliland chipped in 10 points with 12 rebounds for Coldwater.

Houston 42, Riverside 36: Rylie Voisard totaled 14 points and Amber Stangel added 12 to lead Houston.

Milton-Union 47, Oakwood 39: Jayla Gentry paced MU with 16 points and Morgan Grudich added 14.

Russia 41, Covington 34: Ashley Scott led the way for Russia with 16 points. Claudia Harrington had 15 points for Covington.

St. Henry 52, Franklin Monroe 34: Alyssa Buschur totaled 20 points and Addy Vaughn tacked on 19 and St. Henry handed Franklin Monroe its second loss. Corina Conley paced FM with 22 points.

Tri-Village 87, Newton 25: The win bumped Tri-Village to 14-0. Madalynn Hughes paced Newton with 10 points.

Valley View 54, Arcanum 52: Aubrey Stupp recorded 18 points and Lauren Legate 11 to help Valley View improve to 12-3. Kayla O’Daniels led Arcanum with 13 points.
