Pat Spurlock is the new head softball coach at Ross High School.

Ross athletic director Brian Gunter made the announcement Tuesday. Spurlock replaces Anna Smith, who resigned after one season at the helm.

Spurlock has 11 years of high school coaching experience, spending the last six as the head coach at Indian Hill. He was an assistant and instructor at Cedarville University for six years and has also been the lead pitching and slapping instructor for the last seven years at the Cincinnati Reds Academy.

Spurlock is a Lebanon resident who graduated from Lebanon High School and Manchester (Ind.) University with dual majors in economics and business administration.

Ross went 14-10 under Smith last season, losing to Clinton-Massie in a Division II district title game.
