Report: Cincinnati Reds continue free-agent frenzy, add arm to bullpen

The Reds are in agreement with free agent relief pitcher Pedro Strop on a one-year deal worth $1.825 million, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. Strop could earn $3.5 million via performance bonuses. The deal is pending a physical.
Strop, a 34-year-old right hander, spent the last 6 1/2 seasons with the Chicago Cubs. Last season he was 2-5 with a 4.97 ERA and 10 saves. In 2018, he was 6-1 with a 2.26 ERA and 13 saves. Strop had a 2.90 ERA during his tenure with the Cubs.
