The 6-foot-2 Johnson averaged 5.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game last season for the Thunderhawks, who won the GMC with a 15-1 record in conference play and went 20-6 overall.

Playing with a pair of double-figure scorers (Bash Wieland and Will Johnston, who averaged 19.5 and 10.7 points per game, respectively), Johnson led the conference in assists with 3.3 per game.
