Recruiting: Lakota East standout picks up first two offers

Lakota East point guard Nate Johnson is having a big week.

The junior-to-be announced on social media he has received his first two Division I offers.

First came news the Miami RedHawks are interested in luring him to Oxford.

Next to jump in were the Ohio Bobcats, who are in their first year being coached by former Ohio State assistant Jeff Boals.

The 6-foot-2 Johnson averaged 5.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game last season for the Thunderhawks, who won the GMC with a 15-1 record in conference play and went 20-6 overall.

Playing with a pair of double-figure scorers (Bash Wieland and Will Johnston, who averaged 19.5 and 10.7 points per game, respectively), Johnson led the conference in assists with 3.3 per game.
