“There were over 700 reps that went into this, coach (Greg) Schiano was telling me,” Meyer said. “We started this in March.”
Myers was one of 10 recruits to enroll at Ohio State in January. He has not cracked the depth chart like Davis, who is listed as one of the two backups at right guard, or another freshman, Thayer Munford, a backup at right tackle, but has found ways to contribute.
The scout team offense was especially important last week because Army’s offense is unlike anything Ohio State has seen or will see this year.
“We won the game because of that,” Meyer said.
Ohio State (2-1), which dropped from No. 8 to No. 10 in the Associated Press poll this week, plays UNLV at noon Saturday at Ohio Stadium.
